The Museum-house was the only steady home of Salvador Dalí since 1930; the place where he lived and worked until 1982. The current building is the result of the transformation of some typical fishermen’s cottages (“barracas”) that were fit out, enlarged and reorganized by Dalí between 1929 and 1970 to adapt them to his vital and artistic necessities. The visit shows areas dedicated to his private life –such as bedroom, dining room, dressing room,…-, to his studio-comprised of four areas-, the courtyards meant for the couple’s public life and the scenery to many of his works. The decoration and the articles on display were created or collected by the artist.
