Traditional sixteenth century house that belonged to Medrano, the village’s mayor, from the late sixteenth century to the early seventeenth century. It is believed that Miguel de Cervantes was imprisoned in the basement of the house, and that room allegedly used for prison is preserved. It is also believed that he began writing El Quijote during that time. The cave and the ground floor have conserved the original structure of the house. The museum also exhibits the local art collection, which highlights the works of Gregorio Prieto.
